Ferry Information

The festival and ferries to the festival are completely free of charge.

Governors Island is just a five-minute ferry ride from Lower Manhattan's Battery Maritime Building. A number of subway stations and the Staten Island Ferry Terminal are a short walk away. Even better, the festival and ferries to the festival are completely free of charge!

Plan on coming early and discovering the island's history and charm.

Chairs/Blankets
The audience views the shows from an uncovered lawn. Chairs are not provided.
Come early to secure your spot!

Food
Picnicking at the folk festival is encouraged! Vendors selling hot dogs, snacks,
and non-alcoholic drinks will also be on site.

Weather-Related Gear
Check out the forecast and don't forget your sunscreen and/or umbrella, bug spray, etc.
The concerts will take place rain or shine.

What Not to Bring
• BBQing is not allowed on the island
• Alcohol and dogs are also prohibited
• Vehicles are not allowed on the ferries
